The best timing is from end of March to first week of April because of this season Kyoto is wrapped up by so many beautiful cherry blossoms.

New Year Holiday
3 main temples are busy in kyoto those days - yasaka shrine, heian jingu (walk there along the river north) and fushimi inari (train- keihan gojo-kiyomizu sta. or shichijo sta. south) - all interesting and fully packed all night of 12/31 and during day time of 1/1~4.

Another special temple with nice walk is Yawata shrine, train from Gojo sta. or Shichijo sta.(3 min walk from here) Keihan line south to yawata sta.

* Kyoto Night life *

Most of the places are open all night at Kiyamachi, ponto-cho and Gion, just10 min walk, one block north from here.
Gojo Paradiso staff can recommend you good night spot such as restaurants, bar, cafe and amusement.
